Illusion knitting

I've been doing some experimenting with it.  : D
My first project was a simple rose pattern-

 When looked at flat all you see are stripes but when looked at from an angle you can see the hidden picture.
Of course I needed to turn this into a hat!

Horizontal stripes are always on the outside and vertical stripes are always in the middle, no matter how much the person wearing it spins. It's an interesting hat to watch.
